When the light has diminished from one we’ve known so well, we have only to cherish the many memories left behind. Henry, known to many as AL, lived this life for 61 years with the motto of, “if I can help somebody as I pass this way, then my living would not be in vain.”
AL’s life was dedicated to service and he did it well. He was a lifelong member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Titusville, FL. To say that he was a hard worker is an understatement. His hands were never idle as evidenced by the many jobs he held. After completing Technical College in Denmark, SC, he returned home and was employed at the space center for over 30 years. His evenings were spent at the Lake Fern Montessori School in Titusville for 35 years. After the layoff from Indyne Corporation, he was hired by the City of Titusville in field operations, a position he held until his passing. He was an original and devoted employee of Lewis-Ray Mortuary, Inc. for 38 years, where he held the position of general manager.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; sons, Jeremy and Carlos, and daughter, Azariah; seven grandchildren; his Lewis-Ray family, and many other relatives.
