April 12, 1948 ~ April 17, 2018 (age 70)

Roy Lee Davis, Jr. was born April 12, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Roy Lee Davis, Sr. and Allie Inez Welch Davis. Following the sudden death of his father, the family relocated to Brevard County, Florida in the early 1960s.  Roy attended Andrew J. Gibson High School and graduated with the class of 1966.

Following graduation, he worked as a draftsman at Kennedy Space Center until joining the United States Army 1967. He served his country in the Infantry and was stationed in Germany.

In 1968 he married Marion Williams, and to this union two sons, Tyrone and Kamil Davis were born. In his pursuit of better economic opportunities, he moved the family to South Carolina where he founded NControll, LLC which manufactured commercial cleaning products. Over the years he secured many government contracts for various services. As a young man, he developed a love for sports and music. These interests continued throughout his life. Some of his greatest pleasures were singing in the St. James A.M.E Church choirs and cheering for his Detroit Tigers. He was an avid sports fan. Football, basketball, baseball, boxing; he loved them all. It was not often that you would catch Roy in a hurry. He loved just shooting the breeze with friends and family; Stan, Reginald, James, Hattie Jean, Eldon or his boys and grandson. He preferred the slow scenic routes of life, and you could often find him traveling the 150-mile round trip journey from Titusville to Sebastian via US Route 1.  His easy going and fun loving spirit made him endearing too many.  You could always depend on Roy to bring the key lime pie to potlucks or socials, and if there was any left, he was certainly taking it back home with him.

In the twilight hours of Friday, April 13, 2018, the Lord called Roy home to eternal rest.
